Patch's API-as-a-marketplace services two groups:

Demand
We put climate initiatives on autopilot by programmatically offsetting CO₂ emissions. Our API makes it easy for businesses to launch features like carbon-neutral delivery, rides, payments, and more.

Supply
We’ve partnered with the best carbon removal scientists and developers in the world to build a network of high-quality projects. We’re aggregating demand to these projects so they can scale the amount of CO₂ they’re able to remove to help us reach our climate goals.

We’re looking for our first strategic account executives to build out and lay the foundation for a world-class sales org. You will run and own deals of all sizes and types across many industries as we continue to scale and develop our mix of core products and services. This role is critical to unlocking the next stage of Patch’s growth, and requires a self-starter with strong business and product chops that can think outside the box, sell confidently in a nascent market, and be prescriptive in helping drive a product roadmap for existing and future Patch customers. In this role you will work with companies ranging from the Fortune 500 down to high-growth startups across fintech, ecommerce, crypto, and travel, developing a variety of exciting climate positive products, features, and experiences. The ability to effectively operate with a range of internal and external stakeholders and drive results is critical to success in this role.

What you'll do

  • Drive new business to Patch and launch impactful climate products and programs
  • Own a diverse pipeline from SMB to ENT customers with varied needs and solutions
  • Qualify rigorously and identify opportunities that will move quickly
  • Serve as an internal champion for your opportunities by working cross functionally with product, engineering, marketing, and policy
  • Good instincts and communication to balance customer needs and internal prioritizations to keep deals moving
  • Identify signals and traction early on to maintain momentum and develop core products within certain industries or segments

Who you are

  • 4+ years in a closing role, preferably in a high-growth B2B SaaS setting
  • A business generalist who can think and sell creatively to close any customer
  • Ability to communicate and drive results with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong ability to work cross functionally at Patch to drive results for your book of customers (sales, marketing, product, engineering)
  • Keen interest in climate technology, carbon removal, and sustainability
  • A humble optimist who wants to use their skills to make the world a better place
