Making AI work for climate: risk, resilience and responsibility
An executive dinner on how AI can strengthen climate risk, resilience and responsible decision-making.

About the event
AI is moving rapidly from experimentation into the systems and decisions that shape how businesses operate. At the same time, organisations are facing growing pressure to understand climate risk, adapt to physical impacts and deliver credible progress against net zero goals.
This dinner will explore how AI can help businesses turn complex climate data into better decisions on risk, adaptation and resilience, while examining what it takes to deploy AI responsibly in the real world.
The discussion will cover the role of trusted data, governance, transparency and human judgement, as well as the practical challenges of moving from isolated pilots to AI use cases embedded in business operations.
Bringing together senior sustainability leaders for a candid conversation under Chatham House Rules, the evening will feature Richard Clapton, who leads Climate and Responsible AI at Ocado Group, alongside a senior global climate risk leader from one of the world’s largest technology and commerce companies. Together, they will explore how organisations can use AI to build more resilient, responsible and future-ready businesses, without losing sight of accountability or real-world outcomes.
Taking place at Yannick Alléno’s Michelin-starred restaurant, Pavyllon London, in Mayfair, expect an evening of exceptional food and candid conversation. With its contemporary French cuisine, meticulous execution and elegant setting, Pavyllon provides a fitting backdrop for a discussion about the quality of judgement required to navigate both technological and climate change.
