SBTi V2: What changes for companies and where the market goes next

A focused evening discussion on what SBTi V2 means for companies and the future of carbon markets.

About the event

SBTi’s latest update is reshaping how companies think about climate targets, carbon credits, and broader market-based instruments. But what does it mean in practice, and how should sustainability, finance, and procurement teams respond?

Join Patch and IETA for a focused in-person discussion in Singapore exploring the implications of SBTi V2 and the direction of travel for the carbon market. Rory Heskin, GM APAC at Patch, will provide a practical overview of what SBTi is and what has changed. Björn Fondén, International Policy Manager - APAC Lead at IETA, will examine what the update means for companies and the wider market.

The discussion will cover:

  • The role of ISO net zero standards in the evolving guidance
  • What METI guidance on credit use could mean for companies in Singapore and across APAC
  • The Coalition to Grow Carbon Markets and its significance for market development
  • The implications for carbon credits, RECs, EACs, and other market-based instruments
  • The questions finance and sustainability teams should be asking now

The event will begin with a discussion between Rory and Björn, followed by an open Q&A and discussion with attendees. Together, we will explore the challenges companies are facing internally, where uncertainty remains, and how the community can advance a practical conversation around credible climate action.

The evening will conclude with drinks, canapés and informal networking.

This event is exclusively for corporate sustainability leaders and is invitation-only. All registration requests are subject to approval.
